Early game thread: Which game will you be watching this morning?

You have nine games to pick from

We’ll have to wait until tonight to watch the San Francisco 49ers play. Many fans are nervous about the big stage, but I think the Niners come out and play free and confident. Until then, you’ll have nine games to watch this morning.

The 1-4 Texans are 3.5-point underdogs to the Titans. Tennessee is on short rest, and Houston has played a brutal schedule. While Ryan Tannehill never seems to lose, I think Deshaun Watson pulls off the upset.

If you’re watching Washington’s football team against the Giants, why?

The 4-1 Bears are on the road to face the 3-2 Panthers. Chicago may be one of the worst 4-1 teams in recent memory. They go out of their way to lose games but still manage to win. Nick Foles will probably get it done again today.

The best game this morning will feature the 4-1 Browns against the 4-0 Steelers. Cleveland is banged up, which is why they’re 4-point underdogs. Right guard Wyatt Teller has been one of the best right guards in the NFL, and his presence will be missed. Pittsburgh’s pass rush should make Baker Mayfield uncomfortable and force him into bad decisions.

Raheem Morris takes over for Dan Quinn as the winless Falcons travel to Minnesota. The Vikings will be without Dalvin Cook, but you could be the running back and have success against Atlanta’s defense this year. The Falcons are 3.5-point underdogs.

The Lions are on the road and are favorites. It shouldn’t matter who they’re playing. That’s a surprise. Detroit is coming off a bye so that probably has something to do with being favored over the Jags.

The Bengals will try to avoid Joe Burrow running for his life for the sixth time this season against DeForest Buckner and the Colts. Indianapolis is heavily favored in this matchup.

The Ravens are 10-point favorites over the Eagles. Carson Wentz will panic under pressure, and Lamar Jackson, who hasn’t played well recently, should get back on track.

The morning’s final game is the Denver Broncos, who will have Drew Lock back in the lineup, against the Patriots, who will also have Cam Newton back. A touchdown favors new England. The 49ers play the Pats next week, so keep an eye on that game.
