Thursday night open thread: A battle between a couple of NFC least teams

Expecting an ugly game...

The Eagles will be without starting running back Miles Sanders, tight end Zach Ertz, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, and defensive lineman Malik Jackson tonight. They’ll also get Lane Johnson, DeSean Jackson, Avonte Maddox, Duke Riley, and Marcus Epps all back from injury after being inactive against the Ravens this past Sunday.

The biggest difference during tonight’s game is that the Eagles shouldn’t see pressure against the New York Giants. The 49ers, Steelers, and Ravens are all among the top teams in the NFL at generating pressure. New York is not. This feels like one of those weird Carson Wentz games where he performs like a top QB. The Giants have a stout defensive line, but they’re 23rd against the pass in DVOA.

The 49ers have faced both of these teams, and the loss to Philly stings more each week. This game shouldn’t be a blowout as New York has remained competitive in each of its games outside of San Francisco. Will you be watching?
