49ers inactives: No surprises, but it sure is nice see Kittle and Deebo active

The Eagles have three wide receivers active...

The San Francisco 49ers are set to host the Philadelphia Eagles in just over an hour and a half. There weren’t too many surprises with the inactives. The beat reporters on hand tweeted that cornerback K’Waun Williams was warming up on the field looking “pretty spry.” The 49ers are already entering this game without their top three quarterbacks on the perimeter. Missing their Williams, who is one of the 49ers top run defenders, would have been a big blow, despite Philadelphia’s depleted wide receiver corps. The Eagles will be without wide receivers Desean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. Newly signed “tight end” Hakeem Butler is inactive as well. That means Philly will have three active wideouts.

Here are the 49ers inactives:

QB Jimmy Garoppolo

RB Raheem Mostert

CB Emmanuel Moseley

CB Ahkello Witherspoon

LB Dre Greenlaw

TE Daniel Helm

OL Tom Compton

That means Dontae Johnson and Jason Verrett will start. It also means K’Wuan Williams is active. Jamar Taylor is probably the “emergency” cornerback, as he can play both inside and out.

George Kittle will play, and Deebo Samuel will make his season debut. If Nick Mullens has time, expect big plays.
