Monday night football thread: We have a doubleheader tonight

The Chiefs/Pats and the Falcons/Patriots

Due to their starting quarterback testing positive for COVID-19, the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots game was moved to Monday night. New England flew to Kansas City on Monday, which is rare for the day of the game. That was enough for me to bet the under, which was 49 and midway through the second quarter, that’s looking like a good bet. I couldn’t imagine moving around that much on the day of the game and still have the energy to play a professional game. They are the Patriots, though, and they’ll be prepared for anyone.

The second game tonight features the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons. Green Bay will be without Davante Adams, while Atlanta will miss four starters on defense. Vegas still believes there will be plenty of points in this game as the total is currently at 56.5, despite all of the injuries. The Packers are five-point favorites tonight. This game feels like the Falcons come out in desperation mode and keep the game close. One thing to keep an eye on if you’re watching is the Falcons big-play ability on first down. He doesn’t get a lot of national attention, but Calvin Ridley has been one of the best route runners this season.

Who do you think wins tonight?
