Early morning game thread: It’s Tua time

There are eight games on the morning slate

There are eight games on this morning’s slate in the NFL. Everyone is talking about the marquee matchup between the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers against the 5-1 Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are currently 3.5-point favorites in that game. Something tells me that win comfortably against their bitter rivals. John Harbaugh after a bye week is money in the back.

The Chiefs opened up as 21-point favorites against the New York Jets. That line is down to 19.5, but it’s still one of the largest numbers we’ll see. Only fans of those teams will be watching that game.

The same can be said for the Titans, who are touchdown favorites over the 1-5 Bengals. The Titans looked like a team that was physically and mentally drained last week against the Steelers. The Bengals are an ideal bounce-back game for any team.

The game that I’ll be watching will be the 5-2 Rams as they travel across the country to face the surprising 3-3 Dolphins, who are starting a rookie QB. Tua Tagovailoa will make his debut, and let’s hope it’s a good one. He had the bye week to prepare, and Miami is invested in its rookie QB and must see what they have. Go Phins!

The 4-2 Colts are three-point favorites on the road against the 3-3 Lions. The 2-4 Patriots will be without Stephon Gilmore against the 5-2 Bills. Both of those are high quality “nap” games.

The Vikings are 1-5. They’ve been a disaster this year and are on the road against the Packers, who seem to take advantage of lowly teams this year. Green Bay may be looking ahead to Thursday’s game against the 49ers.

The final game is the 3-3 Raiders against the 5-2 Browns. I feel like these are the games Jon Gruden wins.
