The San Francisco 49ers are just under 90 minutes away from kickoff. There weren’t too many surprises as the team expects to get healthy after the bye week. Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon was a healthy scratch. Here are today’s inactives:
- WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
- CB Ahkello Witherspoon
- CB K’Waun Williams (ankle)
- RB Tevin Coleman (knee)
- LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring)
Wide receivers Trent Taylor, who was suffering from back stiffness, and River Cracraft, who had a quad contusion after taking a knee to the quad during Wednesday’s practice, are both available. How healthy will they be? We’ll find out. You’d think Brandon Aiyuk, Kendrick Bourne, and Richie James would receive the bulk of targets, as well as Jordan Reed.
With Witherspoon down, the 49ers have Jason Verrett, Emmanuel Moseley as their starters at cornerback, with Jamar Taylor in the slot and Dontae Johnson and Ken Webster serving as backups.
With Jaquiski Tartt out for the season, Kyle Shanahan hinted that we could see a change at safety Friday. That could mean Tarvarius Moore or Johnathan Cyprien start. We’ll see. Jared Mayden will make his NFL debut, likely on special teams.
