Monday Night Football thread: Goff and Brady square off again

A rematch between the two QBs from Super Bowl 53.

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Monday Night Football tonight is pitting the 6-3 Los Angeles Rams against the 7-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s also a rematch between the two quarterbacks who battled it out in Super Bowl 53.

Tom Brady has the Bucs offense humming right along, showing no significant regression in any part of his game so far this season. He’s been impressive with his deep passes and that’s been a picture-perfect fit for Bruce Arians and his vertical scheme.

The Rams are the only team in the NFL who are able to boast a top-five offense and defense in the NFL. The Rams rank first in yards allowed and points allowed while the Bucs rank fifth in total yards allowed.

Offensively, the Rams and Bucs also possess two of the best groups of wide receivers that the league has to offer. Los Angeles’ offense has been led by the duo of Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods while the Bucs have the elite trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown.

At the end of the day, this game could be a shootout, or a barn burner. Either way, there’s going to be some good football on the tube.

Enjoy the game and feel free to discuss the matchup below!
