The phrase, “when everyone gets healthy” has been used by almost every 49ers fan out there in the year 2020. While we know we’ll never get to that point this season thanks to major injuries to Nick Bosa and George Kittle, today’s Stats & Eggs Podcast points out that this coming week could be the closest they get to that point the rest of this year.
With Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr., Deebo Samuel, and Richard Sherman participating in yesterday’s walk-through practice, San Francisco seems poised to field a team that is a much closer representation of the team we’d all thought we’d see when the season started three months ago.
Will that be enough to take down a Rams team that absolutely terrorized Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on Monday Night? Another brilliant game plan like the one Kyle Shanahan deployed in Week 6 would sure go a long to towards making that happen. But it sure will be nice if Kyle can play with some of the chess pieces he thought he’d have when he dreamed this offense up last offseason.
Also featured in today’s episode, K’Waun Williams gets suspended two games for using performance enhancing drugs, and some familiar names are included in the 25 semifinalists for the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
