Jimmy Garoppolo has far more important things to worry about now that he’s going to miss an indefinite amount of time recovering from his high ankle sprain, but he also played one of his worst games on Sunday, against one of the worst defenses he’s ever faced.

While 49ers fans around the country were upset by the offense, Brian Baldinger had a specific criticism of Jimmy Garoppolo on 95.7 The Game yesterday.

“It just seems like Jimmy’s missing a lot. There’s a lot of open receivers and he’s just not seeing them...The quarterback has to be better.”

Lack of vision certainly would explain the 11 of 16 for 84 yards with a red zone interception day that Jimmy had.

In the biggest game of the year.

Against a division rival.

With more experience in this system than he’s ever had in his life.

Listen to the episode of Stats & Eggs to hear more of Baldinger’s comments and decide for yourself if you agree with what he saw on Sunday. If you like the show, please ratem review, and subscribe, to the Niners Nation Podcast Network.

Hopefully we’ll have better news tomorrow.
