The curse continues.
The San Francisco 49ers placed Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel on the reserve/COVID-19 list. All three players will miss the Thursday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
#49ers LT Trent Williams and WRs Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel will be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list as close contacts, source says. They’re out for tomorrow vs #Packers.

The trio was added to the list as close contacts after Kendrick Bourne tested positive for the Coronavirus, leaving only Trent Taylor, Kevin White, River Cracraft, Chris Finke and Richie James (who is questionable) as the only options at wide receiver. Samuel was initially scheduled to sit out the contest with a hamstring injury.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan could go with Justin Skule at left tackle in Williams’ place or move Daniel Brunskill over from guard and start Colton McKivitz or Tom Compton on the line’s right side.
With starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and George Kittle also out, the Niners are now up to a whopping 23 players who will miss this game.
Nick Mullens will start at QB with JaMycal Hasty and Jerick Mckinnon expected to share time at running back.
San Francisco opened the practice window for tight end Jordan Reed, but he hasn’t been activated yet.
With Williams, Aiyuk and Samuel joining Bourne on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the 49ers have had a total of seven players who have had to miss time due to the Coronavirus.
Garafolo adds that as of now, the NFL has no plans of rescheduling the game.
#49ers-#Packers remains on schedule to kick off tomorrow night.
