Late game thread: Three games on the afternoon slate

At the top of the hour, well, five minutes past, The Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Los Angeles Chargers. With Joey Bosa inactive, that game figures to be high-scoring. The Raiders are one-point favorites, and the total on the game is 52.5.

At 1:25 p.m., the Dallas Cowboys are starting Garrett Gilbert. The last time I remember Gilbert was way back when in the national championship when he replaced Colt McCoy. Dallas will take on the 7-0 Steelers, who are 14-point favorites in the game. The total is 44, as Vegas figures Dallas will struggle to move the ball. Ezekiel Elliot will play, so perhaps that gives the Cowboys a spark. Don’t hold your breath if you’re expecting them to get (m)any stops on defense.

The final game of this afternoon features the Dolphins on the road to play the Cardinals. Miami will be without a few coaches due to COVID. While Tua had the victory last week, the Dolphins struggled to move the ball on offense, and Tua didn’t have the greatest numbers. Arizona is coming off a bye week, and they’re six-point favorites. I think Kyler Murray and company win big.
