The San Francisco 49ers are set to take on the Washington Football Team and need a win to keep their fading playoff hopes alive.

Unfortunately, the secondary will be without cornerback K’Waun Williams as he is still dealing with discomfort from a high-ankle sprain. Williams practiced throughout the week, but will sit out his fifth-straight game. This means we will see Dontae Johnson continue to get an increased workload with Williams on the sideline.

The Niners will also be without Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring), D.J. Jones (ankle) and backup center Hroniss Grasu (knee). Receiver Trent Taylor and running back Austin Walter will also be inactive.

Deebo Samuel will play despite missing some practice time this week while dealing with a foot contusion.

San Francisco’s offensive line coach John Benton tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be on the sideline against Washington. The team announced that his duties will be absorbed by the offensive coaching staff for today’s contest.
