The San Francisco 49ers trail the Washington Football Team 13-7 at the half. The Niners’ offense is being dominated by rookie defensive lineman Chase Young and has struggled moving the ball.
Quarterback Nick Mullens has been awful yet again. He has overthrown his receivers several times and has completed 10-of-20 passes for just 103 yards.
Jeff Wilson Jr. gave the Niners a 7-0 lead before WFT responded with a pair of field goals by Dustin Hopkins.
Jason Verrett came up with a big interception late in the second quarter which gave the 49ers an opportunity to try and extend their lead going into the break. Unfortunately, Mullens fumbled just two plays later and rookie Young returned it for a touchdown.
San Francisco’s terrible injury luck continues. Receiver Deebo Samuel tweaked his hamstring on the first play of the game and is officially listed as questionable to return.
This is your second half open thread.
