We are down to the final three games of the regular season.

The San Francisco 49ers are on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys and need a win if they want to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Niners are 5-8 on the season and sit two games behind the Arizona Cardinals for the final NFC playoff spot.

Quarterback Nick Mullens will make his sixth-straight start, despite his ugly outing against the Washington Football Team last week. Mullens had a fumble and an interception returned for touchdowns, which cost San Francisco the game.

The Niners’ secondary will look different. Cornerback Jason Verrett is OUT with an illness, but K’Waun Williams and Emmanuel Moseley are back in the lineup.

Dallas will be without running back Ezekiel Elliott, who will miss the first game of his career due to injury. Elliott is dealing with a calf issue.

This game was initially scheduled to be on Sunday Night Football, but it was flexed into the early slot with both teams struggling.

This is your first half open thread for this morning’s contest.
