The San Francisco 49ers trail the Dallas Cowboys 17-14 at the half.

The Niners got off to an awful start, fumbling the ball twice on their first three possessions which led to 14 points for the Cowboys. This is the eighth straight game the 49ers have had at least two turnovers, but they were able to rebound and get back into the game.

Quarterback Nick Mullens settled in after that to put together back-to-back scoring drives. Mullens connected with tight end Jordan Reed and rookie receiver Brandon Aiyuk for touchdowns to cut the deficit going into the break.

Running back Raheem Mostert looked good over the opening two quarters. He racked up 67 rushing yards in the first half.

For Dallas, running back Tony Pollard — who is in for the injured Ezekiel Elliott — has 57 total yards and a score for the Cowboys so far.

This is your second half open thread for this morning’s contest.
