The San Francisco 49ers returned to the practice field Wednesday but were without a good amount of talent. Here are the players who did not practice:
DNP:
DT Javon Kinlaw (knee)
RB Raheem Mostert (ankle)
QB Nick Mullens (right elbow)
WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
CB Richard Sherman (calf)
S Jimmie Ward (concussion)
LIMITED
C Hroniss Grasu
WR Richie James
DE Dion Jordan
S Tarvarius Moore
FULL
CB Jason Verrett
James and Moore went through drills, so I’d expect they’d play.
It’s nice to see Verrett back in action. With Sherman not practicing, there’s a strong chance the starters Verrett and Ahkello Witherspoon Saturday against the Cardinals. Since today is a “Thursday” practice, if you don’t practice, you’re likely out for the game.
That also means we’ll likely see Kinlaw miss a game.
If you didn’t know George Kittle was fresh off a broken foot, you’d have no clue he was hurt. He’s come a long way in a week physically. If there isn’t any soreness, expect to see Kittle on the field.
Speaking of injuries, Jimmy Garoppolo was on the field throwing Wednesday:

I tried to keep a close on Jimmy for the 30 or so minutes that we were allowed to be out there. I didn’t see a limp. Garoppolo was moving fine, and it didn’t appear that be hampered by his injury. I’d still be surprised if we saw him on the field this season. I did see Garoppolo giving Rosen pointers about his footwork, which was good to see.
