For better or worse, George Kittle is going to get back on the field against the Arizona Cardinals tomorrow in Week 16. As such, he met the media yesterday for the first time in about six weeks. As usual, George did not disappoint.

“I know that if we beat the Cardinals it kind of puts a little pressure on them to make the playoffs,” Kittle said, “Yeah, let’s have some fun while we’re at it and make someone else’s life a little more difficult.”

It’s hard to believe that the 49ers would be reduced to playing the role of NFC playoff spoiler with two weeks to go in the regular season, but that’s where we are right now.

To hear more of Kittle press conference as well as Kyle Shanahan’s explanation for putting George on a snap count despite being one of the healthiest players on the team, check out today’s Stats & Eggs Podcast by clicking the player below.

George was also asked to make a pitch to the 40 or so players that will be free agents once the 2020 season wraps up. Again, he didn’t disappoint.

“We didn’t have the year we wanted to have, but we’ve got a lot of pieces coming back. One of my favorite things I get to say is I get Nick Bosa next year. It’s just really fun for me to say because he’s one of my favorite football players to ever get to watch. I know he’s excited to get back. I’m just gonna put my chips in on that when Nick Bosa’s healthy we’re going to be just fine.”

If only it was that simple, George. If only.
