Saturday’s XFL games saw three teams reach the 20s. If you’re into football, you’re probably rooting for points. That theme will continue today as the New York Guardians take on the St. Louis Battlehawks here shortly. The Guardians forgot to score last week against the DC Defenders. New York was shut out 27-0. Two quarterbacks played, and neither topped 100 yards passing, while their leading rusher had 39 yards.
The Battlehawks came up short last week as well, but they scored 24 points. The total on this game is set at 40, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a high-flying affair. The Battlehawks are 10.5 point favorites.
The second game features the Defenders against the Los Angeles Wildcats, who are eight-point underdogs in this one. The total in this game is set at 44. DC is coming off a blowout win, while LA couldn’t pull it out against Dallas last week. Josh Johnson leads the way for the Wildcats, who have some recognizable NFL names on their roster. Enjoy some Sunday football.
