On Saturday, former 49ers quarterback and Hall of Famer Steve Young was trending. That’s because Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller asked the question, “Steve Young or Aaron Rodgers, who is better?” At the time, Young had around 2,000 followers on Twitter, fewer than ten tweets to his name. Usually, when you see one of your childhood heroes trending on Twitter, you assume the worst. When your idol is trending during a global pandemic, you are really going to freak out. Thankfully, Young joked about seeing himself trending in a very Twitter type of way.

“Young or Rodgers” is a tired, played out question that will always get the masses fired up. Young remains one of the most underrated quarterbacks ever to do it, and you can tell how much football someone has watched based on where they rank Young. It’s been slow in the sports news world, so you see a lot of these age-old discussions pop up. Tune in tomorrow when we discuss the better all-time quarterback, Joe Montana or Tom Brady.
