Kyle’s update 6:18 p.m.: The 49ers were in on C Conner McGovern, who just signed a three-year, $27 million deal with the Jets. McGovern started his career at right guard.

Kyle’s update 3:46 p.m.: Tom Brady is not going to play for the 49ers in 2020. Instead, he’ll be in Tampa Bay for $30 million a year. All of the talking heads are saying Brady won’t announce until tomorrow.

Kyle’s update 2:35 p.m.: Cincy isn’t done. They’re giving former Vikings CB Trae Waynes three-years, $42 million. Holy overpay!

Kyle’s update 1:40 p.m.: So much for D.J. Reader being an option for the 49ers. The defensive tackle just signed a four-year, $53 million deal with the Bengals.

Kyle’s update 1:00 p.m.: Philip Rivers is signing with the Colts on a one-year deal worth $25 million. Jason Witten signed a deal with the Raiders. That makes two Monday Night Football broadcast members in Oakland Las Vegas. Former Packers OT Brian Bulaga is signing with the Chargers.

Kyle’s update 9:30: Former Rams LB Cory Littleton joining the Raiders on a three-year deal worth $36 million.

Teddy Bridgewater is joining Carolina on a deal worth $60 million for three years.

Kyle’s update 9:10: Robert Quinn just got paidddd. He’s with the Bears on a five-year, $70 million deal.

Kyle’s update 8:10: Carolina is rumored to sign Teddy Bridgewater, who worked with offensive coordinator Joe Brady in New Orleans. The Panthers have also given permission to Cam Newton to request a trade.

Per Adam Schefter, San Francisco 49ers tight end, and free agent Levine Toilolo is expected to sign with the New York Giants. He joins last year’s sixth-round pick Kaden Smith in New York. Toilolo never got a chance to make an impact in the passing game for San Francisco. He was thought to be this great run blocker, but I never saw that. Ross Dwelley was a clear step ahead of Toilolo. Kyle Shanahan brought in the former Falcon for a year, and now he’s on the move. Best of luck to Levine.

According to Jake Trotter, who covers the Cleveland Browns for ESPN, the Browns are interested in bringing in defensive end Ronald Blair, who is coming off an ACL tear but is already running. With Joe Woods being the defensive coordinator in Cleveland, and Chris Kiffin as the defensive line coach, he was on the Niners staff last year, the move makes sense. Blair would be a tough loss for San Francisco. He’s an ideal backup.

Tom Brady confirmed that he’s on the move. The long-time New England Patriot will end up in Tampa Bay or as a Charger, per Tom Pelissero. Thanks to an extension Brady signed in August; New England has to eat $13.5 million in dead money during 2020. Ouch. I wonder what this means for Jameis Winston? Imagine the interception machine having to come back to the sideline and face Bill Belichick after each pick-six. That’s the entertainment we need.

The Cardinals signed DT Jordan Phillips to a three-year, $30 million deal Tuesday morning.

The Saints signed QB Drew Brees to a two-year deal that’s worth $50 million.
