Golden Nuggets: Can we just put the same team back on the field

NFL: Super Bowl LIV-San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

We had the best team in the NFL through three quarters of the Super Bowl and would probably have won if the officials hadn’t decided to take it on themselves to do away with the offensive holding rule.

We have players returning from injuries and players that are only going to get better with experience. I personally don’t see any reason we couldn’t win next year’s Super Bowl with the same team. Jimmy G now has a full year of playing experience under his belt. That alone is huge even without including the slightest possibility of Deebo Samuels, Nick Bosa, Drey Greenlaw, and Emmanuel Mosely also improving with a year of NFL experience.

Kyle Shanahan and Robert Saleh also have a whole off season to watch tape and to try to solve problems such has how to handle mobile quarterbacks. I think this team is only going to get better. It seems like everyone has a plan on how to make the 49ers better. I personally don’t see anything wrong with the team we put on the field in 2019.

Now for my thoughts on acquiring Tom Brady. While we are talking out our backsides, perhaps we should trade Jimmy G for the first pick in the draft and acquire a quarterback to learn under Brady. Think about it, by doing that, we could waste two years of our newly drafted quarterback’s cheap rookie contract? Enough said!
