The Los Angeles Rams logo leaked over the weekend, and the hat made its rounds. The marketing team responsible for making this logo took a ton of heat all Sunday. You be the judge:
They’re trying to incorporate both the old Rams logo and LA into one, and the results were messy if we’re being kind. Read the responses to that tweet if you want to laugh. Twitter did not hold back. This was spot on:
The new Rams logo looks like it’s from a tv show about pro football and they didn’t have rights from the NFL pic.twitter.com/NXL6uf0Y6X— Eric Stangel (@EricStangel) March 8, 2020
There are obvious Rams and Chargers jokes to be made. Someone called it “the Jared Goff of hats.” The marketing had to know this was coming.
The Rams are scheduled to play in a new stadium this upcoming year. With that in mind, the plan was to alter their uniforms and logo to fit the city they’re playing in, Los Angeles. The point of the change was to make “LA” the centerpiece and not the “Ram.” If this is any indication of how the new jerseys will look, the Rams better go undefeated in 2020, or else the negative feedback will never be ending.
On a scale of 1-to-Kyle Williams punt return, how bad is the logo?
