So long, and thanks!

This is the end of my four year run with Niners Nation. Egats! It seems like I just got here.

That’s OK, it’s not like civilization will collapse, and plagues will erupt because one sportswriter leaves. Thanks for being the smartest, funniest, and most challenging — in a good way — fan base I’ve ever known. It’s fun to have people like your stuff, but it’s even more fun to have them push you when you get sloppy or half-ass it, and you all did that. You made me a better writer, though admittedly, the bar was pretty low.

I’m proud that I was able to wrangle a few of the great writers here into putting together a great, fun, quick-read book on the Legendary season the 49ers just had. I don’t think you’ll find a book on sports with a more diverse or hard-working group of authors.
