Kyle’s update, 2:06 p.m.: Jalen Hurd has changed his number from No. 17 to No. 14. Travis Benjamin will now wear No. 17.
In our Golden Nuggets Tuesday morning, we mentioned that San Francisco 49ers’ first-round picks had already announced the jersey numbers they were wearing via their Instagram. The 49ers tweeted out Tuesday afternoon the official jersey numbers:
Javon Kinlaw - 99
Brandon Aiyuk - 11
Colton McKivitz - 68
Charlie Woerner - 89
Jauan Jennings 81

Someone tweeted at us earlier that Kinlaw was “disrespectful” to DeForest Buckner by choosing No. 99. Okay, then. Kinlaw wore No. 3 in South Carolina, and I’d love it if the same rules applied in the NFL where you can essentially wear any number you’d like. Deebo Samuel’s jersey sales would spike if he was allowed to wear No. 1 in the NFL, but that’s an entirely different topic.
Aiyuk will look great in 11, and No. 81 is a solid option for Jennings, too. There are no complaints on my end for the choices of McKivitz or Woerner, either. How about you?
