What are your expectations for Nick Bosa in 2020?

We also have info on how to buy the newly released Bosa bobblehead

Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller posed the question on Twitter Friday afternoon, “who is the best pass rusher in the NFL right now?” There were a ton of Nick Bosa’s sprinkled in there. The rookie took the league by storm with seven sacks in his first seven games. From the moment Bosa stepped onto the field as a rookie, he was dominant. The crazy part of Bosa’s season is that he could have easily had an additional four or five sacks. Sacks aren’t the best measure for a productive pass rusher, but the elite are consistently finding ways to bring the quarterback down.

Bosa finished third in pressures in the NFL in 2019. Bosa was five away from Cam Jordan of the New Orleans Saints and four away from Za’Darius Smith of the Packers. Smith had 35 more pass-rushing snaps, while Jordan had 101 more opportunities to rush the passer. If you answered Bosa to Miller’s question, you have a strong argument. The 2019 Defensive Rookie of the Year will be better in his second season—which is scary.

What are your expectations for Nick this upcoming season? It doesn’t have to be a box score projection. I’d bet Bosa would love to be the Defensive Player of the Year. He should be in the running at the very least. The reason I won’t throw out a stat line is that Bosa is going to see more attention this year than he has his entire life.

I’d like to see Bosa improve on the little things like biting on run fakes and allowing the quarterback to get out of the pocket. Opposing offenses used Bosa’s aggressiveness against him as a rookie. Cut down on that, and the missed tackles and Bosa is the best defensive lineman in football.

Anthony Davino of FOCO just released a brand-new Bosa 2019 Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year bobblehead. Here is what their Senior Licensing Manager at FOCO said about Bosa’s season:

“Nick Bosa’s first NFL season was nothing short of dominant,” said Matthew Katz, Senior Licensing Manager at FOCO. “It was no surprise to see him win two of the top NFL Honorsawards, and we’re confident Niners fans will be eager to celebrate Bosa’s electrifying season with this limited edition bobblehead,” Katz continued.
