Trent Williams officially signs his contract with the 49ers after passing his physical

Williams tagged Jamal Adams in his Instagram photo

San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams officially signed his contract on Friday night, which he posted on his Instagram. The contract was tweaked from the 2020 season to advance Williams half his cash ($6.25 million) and guarantee it, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Williams also passed his physical, which was a critical part of the trade.

Trent’s troll game is strong, as he tagged New York Jets safety, Jamal Adams, as you can see above, “presidentmal” isn’t only tagged, but he’s tagged on the 49ers hat. It probably doesn’t mean a thing, but it’s funny.

Adams would be a heck of an addition, and an even bigger surprise than when the Niners traded for Williams. ESPN’s Rich Cimini said the Jets would require a first-round pick at the very least, so the 49ers could be out of New York’s price range. Sportsline released odds to land Adams, and San Francisco had the fifth-best odds, behind the Cowboys, Ravens, Texans, and Seahawks.
