Madden ‘21 released their rankings, and that always gets people fired up. For the San Francisco 49ers, one player is missing in their top 10:
- George Kittle – 98
- Trent Williams – 92
- Richard Sherman – 92
- Nick Bosa – 89
- Fred Warner – 87
- Arik Armstead – 86
- Kyle Juszczyk – 86
- Dee Ford – 85
- Mike McGlinchey – 85
- Raheem Mostert – 84
You could probably swap McGlinchey and Jimmy Garoppolo, who is an 83 overall, and I don’t think there’d have been as much complaining. Mind-boggling to me that Bosa is an 89. Not because he doesn’t deserve it, but just how good he was as a rookie. I feel like we’re already taking him for granted.
Three players ranked in the 90s is always nice. Only four players have a higher rating than Kittle. Madden got Warner’s ranking right. He’s a stud, and I cannot wait for people who still aren’t familiar with Warner to find out about him this season.

There isn’t a lot of love for K’Waun, Moseley, or, most importantly, Brunskill. On the flip side, Pettis, Verrett, and Solly are all rated too high. What do you think?
