NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero tweeted that the NFL sent teams COVID-19 protocols for 2020 training camp and preseason:

If a player tests positive, it sounds like they’ll have to miss at least ten days since their initial positive test. Even if it’s the second option of five days and two consecutive negative tests in 24 hours, we’re talking about a possible key player missing a game.

Additionally, the NFL will severely limit media access at training camp this year. That’s a bummer as training camps are some of the most exciting times for NFL fans. Practices allow us to see players make a splash, big hits, or everyone’s favorite, 1-on-1’s. Last year, Dre Greenlaw made play after play early in training camp. He made it impossible for the team to leave him off the field. We won’t get to see that this year. Pelissero tweeted out media guidelines for the NFL preseason and training camp, saying it’ll be limited to just one pool video camera, one still photographer, and up to ten pool reporters. My guess is the longest-tenured reporters will go for each team, which is fair.
