The San Francisco 49ers will practice Saturday morning, but defensive lineman Arik Armstead won’t be on the field as he’s suffering from back irritation. The team doesn’t put the pads on until Monday, so I wouldn’t read too much into Armstead’s injury just yet. WR Jalen Hurd and TE Jordan Reed will be limited as they ease back after missing last season. There’s no need to overwork either. The 49ers need to be fully healthy during the winter months, not the summer.
Remember Bruce Miller? He signed with the Jaguars Saturday after being out of the NFL the past three seasons. What’s the connection in Jacksonville, you ask? Former 49ers general manager Trent Baalke is the Director Of Pro Personnel for the Jaguars. In 2016, Miller was accused of beating the father and son in September 2016 while drunkenly attempting to enter the wrong hotel room at the Marriott Fisherman’s Wharf. Miller faced felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, and criminal threats.
