Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media after Monday’s practice to provide a few injury updates. He isn’t allowed to go into details about Fred Warner landing on the COVID-19 list. On Warner, Shanahan said, “it’s a good reminder that nobody is out of the woods.”

Dre Greenlaw hasn’t practiced the last couple of days, and Shanahan said that Greenlaw is in the concussion protocol. The same thing happened to D.J. Jones last week, and he returned to practice in a few days. Greenlaw should be ready for Week 1.

Trent Williams didn’t practice on Monday, and a couple of beat reporters mentioned how Williams injured himself during practice on Sunday, though he did finish the practice. Shanahan said Williams had a veteran’s day off and will practice again on Wednesday.

The team continues to be cautious with George Kittle and his hamstring strain. He didn’t practice Monday. Shanahan said he expects Kittle to return to practice later this week, which is good news.

Here’s a list of players who didn’t practice on Monday for the San Francisco 49ers:

LB Fred Warner
