Gold Standard: Enough with the 49ers disrespect!

Whether it’s power rankings, playoff predictions, or season win totals, the 49ers have taken a beating in the national media recently.

Two hosts on Good Morning Football picked them to miss the playoffs entirely. One writer from Sports Illustrated has them going 8-8 and finishing in last in the NFC West. One CBS Sports personality has San Francisco 4th in his power rankings behind KC and both the Packers and the Saints, who lost a combined three games to the Niners last year.

Yesterday, I hit my breaking point. I try and be objective as much as possible, but these people have lost their damn minds. Levin does his best to try and bring me back to reality, but that’s a tough job.

We also dive into the game against Arizona and wonder if the air quality in California could cause problems for the team, both now and in the weeks to come.
