Sunday night football thread: Are you rooting for the Rams or the Cowboys?

I’d say the Rams because down the line; you’d think Dallas would be in a better position in the W/L column as they battle the 49ers for the top seed.

It’s been quite the day in the NFL as the season kicked off. We end the day with the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Rams. Part of me says root against the Rams for divisional purposes, but, if we’re thinking big picture, I’d imagine the Cowboys will be in playoff contention competing for the top spot against the San Francisco 49ers by the end of the season. With that in mind, I’d say root for the Rams as the win/loss record would matter come December, especially considering we’ll see the Cowboys late in the year.

There should be plenty of points in this contest. The Cowboys figure to have one of the top offenses in the NFL, and Sean McVay should have plenty of easy throws for Jared Goff. I’m curious to see how the Rams running back situation works itself out. I’m also fascinated by the matchup between Amari Cooper and Ceedee Lamb against Jalen Ramsey. Also, Aaron Donald versus Zack Martin.
