Nick Bosa, Solomon Thomas leave game vs. Jets with injuries

You have got to be kidding me.

The injury nightmare continues.

The San Francisco 49ers were already missing Richard Sherman, George Kittle, Dee Ford and Deebo Samuel going into Week 2, and now they lost two more players to injuries.

Reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, Nick Bosa, was carted off the field after his left knee buckled. To make matters worse, fellow defensive lineman Solomon Thomas hurt his knee a few plays later and was also carted off.

If Bosa misses an extended period of time, it is absolutely devastating for the 49ers defense. He is the best pass rusher on the roster, and his absence will make it very difficult for the Niners to make it back to the Super Bowl.

San Francisco’s depth is going to be tested with all of the injuries. This is the worst-case scenario for the 49ers. They are missing several key players and have been hit by the injury bug harder than any other NFL team.

The bad luck started in the offseason when Samuel and Richie James Jr. got hurt during training sessions and had bled over into the regular season. We don’t know the severity of Bosa and Thomas’ injuries, but it doesn’t look good. They have both been ruled out for the remainder of the game against the New York Jets.

If San Francisco gets its first win of the season, it will come with a dark cloud over it due to the injuries.

We will provide more updates as they become available.
