The NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend wraps up with an AFC North showdown between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.
This will be the third time the two teams square off this season. The Steelers blew out the Browns 38-7 in Week 6, while Cleveland got a narrow 24-22 win last week against a Pittsburgh squad that sat most of its starters.
The Browns (11-5) are making their first playoff appearance since 2002, while the Steelers (12-4) are back in the postseason after not qualifying the past two years.
There is no love lost between the division rivals. The two teams had an on-field brawl after Cleveland defensive lineman Myles Garrett and Pittsburgh backup QB Mason Rudolph had a dust up in 2019 which led to Garrett being suspended for the rest of the season.
Steelers’ wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster added fuel to the fire by saying this about the Browns during the week:
“I think they’re still the same Browns teams I play every year. I think they’re nameless gray faces. They have a couple good players on their team, but at the end of the day, I don’t know. The Browns is the Browns.”
