The New York Jets’ new head coach is reportedly taking a member of the San Francisco 49ers’ staff with him to the Big Apple.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Robert Saleh will hire Niners’ passing game coordinator Mike LaFleur as the Jets’ new offensive coordinator.

LaFleur was a part of head coach Kyle Shanahan’s staff when he was hired in 2017. LaFleur served as San Francisco’s passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach for two seasons. He gave up one of those roles in 2019 when Shanahan brought in Wes Welker to coach the wide receivers.
The move means that the Niners will likely retain run game coordinator Mike McDaniel as part of the offensive staff, but Shanahan could look outside the building to bring in a new passing game coordinator to replace LaFleur.
LaFleur’s brother — Matt — is the current head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
Who do you think will be Lafleur’s replacement?
