Early morning game thread: There are eight games on the early slate

The “early” game took place in London, where there was a 6:30 a.m. kickoff between the Jets and the Falcons.

This morning, the 1-3 Philadelphia Eagles take on the 3-1 Carolina Panthers. I like the Eagles to bounce back, and Jalen Hurts to have a big day. The Panthers will come back down to earth, and the NFC will remain cluttered all season for playoff standings.

The 3-1 Packers should run away with the NFC North, but they’re on the road against the 3-1 Bengals. Joe Burrow takes advantage of a Jaire Alexander-less secondary, and we’ll have the second straight upset to start the day.

Mac Jones and the Patriots travel to Houston to take on Davis Mills and the Texans. Houston looks competent at times, and then Mills throws it to the other team. Expect more of that today, but I believe that game will have points.

The 2-2 Titans face the winless Urban Meyer’s in what will be Meyer’s last game as a coach.

The 0-4 Lions face the 1-3 Vikings. Nobody should have to watch that game. The 3-1 Broncos take on the 1-3 Steelers. Nobody should have to watch Big Ben. The 1-3 Dolphins travel to the 3-1 Bucs. Poor Jacoby Brissett. Finally, the 2-2 Saints face the 2-2 Washington Football Team.
