The elements are the talk of the pre-game:
I just arrived in Santa Clara and it is a sloppy mess - rain and 20mph winds. Fans at Levi’s Stadium are in for quite the ride - literally if you happen to be in a porta potty when the wind blows. 49ers vs Colts kicks off at 5:20pm. @kron4news #49ers pic.twitter.com/aGQG2H0wsi

The excellent news is kicker Joey Slye has a strong enough leg to kick through the conditions:
Joey Slye just had more than enough leg on a 60-yard FG attempt. Of course, he was kicking to the north -- with the wind at his back. The opposite end will be trickier today.

Is there any chance the 49ers would stick with Slye over Robbie Gould if Slye continues to make kicks in Gould’s absence?
What are some predictions? Not your typical run-of-the-mill predictions. I mean something like what Taylor throws out below:
Prediction: 49ers 27, Colts 17
— Taylor Wirth (@WirthTM) October 24, 2021
-Garoppolo throws a hilarious INT
-One fumble from a 49ers WR
-Missed PAT from both teams
-Aiyuk leads the team in yards
-Wentz sacked four times
Some type of special teams blunder feels inevitable. So I’ll go the other direction and say the weather leads to slippage from one of the defenses, which will lead to a big play from an offense.
Jimmy Garoppolo was wearing gloves on both hands during pre-game warmups to help protect the ball. It’ll be interesting to see how the 49ers attack the Colts with the wind and rain.
How could you ignore DeForest Buckner’s return to Levi’s Stadium? Joe Staley’s answer was brutally honest below:
.@jstaley74 was shocked when DeFo told him he was being traded pic.twitter.com/PhDdbher7m

I’ll also be looking to see how aggressive DeMeco Ryans is and his plan to slow down Johnathan Taylor. Also, Nick Bosa is against a backup left tackle. That matchup alone should ruin a couple of Colts drives.
