The Cardinals cinderella season continues tonight as they’re at home against the Gren Bay Packers. Arizona lost J.J. Watt to a potentially season-ending injury this week. Watt sustained a torn labrum, bicep, rotator cuff, and dislocated shoulder against the Texans Sunday. That’s a brutal blow for a player who has been a big help for the Cardinals.
After being listed as questionable all week with a hamstring injury, star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is active and will start. Arizona will start their third-string center, Max Garcia, tonight after Rodney Hudson went on the injured reserve with a rib injury. Arizona is hurting, but they’ll have ten days to recover for the 49ers in Week 9.
Speaking of hurting, the Packers are without CB Kevin King, LB Jaylon Smith, who is a healthy scratch, star edge rusher Za-Darius Smith, LF David Bakhtiari, WR Davante Adams, CB Jaire Alexander, C Josh Myers, and WR Marquez Valdez-Scantling.
They still have that Aaron Rodgers guy, so, despite being nearly a touchdown underdog, I’d never count Green Bay out.
