We’re here—one of the best rivalries in the NFL. The 2-1 San Francisco 49ers host the 1-2 Seattle Seahawks. Based on warmups, the 49ers will trot out Dre Kirkpatrick as the starter against D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
This is a game where the 49ers pass rush must come alive. Cedric Ogbuehi will start at right tackle today for Seattle. Jamarco Jones and Brandon Shell are inactive for the Seahawks. Keep Russ in the pocket, make him throw the ball over the middle, and take advantage of him not being able to see over the line of scrimmage.
On offense, start fast. Open it up, let Jimmy throw, and take advantage of the mishaps Seattle has in the secondary. There’s nobody on the Seahawks roster that can guard Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk. They don’t have a pass rush. I expect the 49ers to score 30 today.
Expect fireworks and the unexpected. That’s what we’ve come to know from Shanahan’s bunch.
