49ers vs. Bears second half thread: Touchdowns, please

Can the 49ers force the Bears to punt?

The first-half stats are relatively even. The 49ers outgained Chicago 204 to 182 in total yards. Jimmy Garoppolo’s bomb to Deebo Samuel helped the yards per play average jump to 7.6. Honestly, Garoppolo had played an excellent first half. He missed Brandon Aiyuk on a comeback, but I wouldn’t be too upset at any throws outside of that.

The defense has left a lot to be desired. Missed tackles and penalties have killed them. It’s been a struggle to contain Justin Fields. Had it not been for Chicago’s penalties, they’d likely have more than 13. Let’s see how the second half goes. The offense will have to turn those drives ending in field goals to touchdowns while the defense has to find a way to make Chicago punt.

It’ll take a turnover or a sack to get off the field. I also would like to see more Elijah Mitchell touches. What are your score predictions for this half?
