The Las Vegas Raiders are on the road and look to remain undefeated against the 2-1 Los Angeles Chargers. These are two high-flying offenses that have no problem scoring points.
The game was initially delayed due to weather, which is why the game didn’t kick off until 5:55 p.m. PT.
The Raiders rushing attack is one of the worst in the league, and they meet a Chargers defense that hasn’t stopped anyone all season. Josh Jacobs is playing, which helps. Peyton Barber hasn’t disappointed as he rushed for over 100 yards last week.
Derek Carr and Jon Gruden have impressed through the air as Carr is no longer checking the ball down. Carr’s gone from a “check down Charlie” to averaging 9.7 air yards per attempt. He and Henry Ruggs have been fun to watch.
Justin Herbert has thrown some jaw-dropping passes on the other side of the ball that few quarterbacks in this league can make. Only the Chiefs have a higher dropback EPA per play than the Chargers. They’re a below-averaging rushing attack, which could come back to haunt them.
There should be plenty of points in this game as the Chargers are already up 7-0. Watch Gruden’s offense if you haven’t. They are fun and don’t care if you know they’re going to throw it to their best player. Darren Waller is getting the ball.
