Former San Francisco 49ers DL Jullian Taylor tweeted that he’s signing with the Titans on Thursday afternoon. Taylor was waived by the Niners this past November.
Injuries caused Taylor to miss ten games in both 2018 & 2019. Taylor didn’t suit up at all in 2020. Taylor has plenty of skills to contribute when healthy. Here’s to a clean bill of health for the future. Based on Taylor’s body type, he might be better suited for the Titans 3-4 defense they run.
Then again, Taylor is multiple enough where he could play multiple positions along the defensive line. He only played in six games, as I mentioned during 2019, but his flashes resembled more of a Day 2 type of player than a seventh-round pick. Taylor had four tackles for loss in under 100 snaps during 2019 and generated pressure 7.1% of the time. He also won quite a bit for a player who played so sparingly.
