A week into free agency and the 49ers have re-signed Trent Williams, Kyle Juszczyk, Jason Verrett, Emmanuel Moseley, D.J. Jones, and Jaquiski Tartt, among other moves.
They’ve cleared away a lot of the needs that they had coming into free agency with these deals, which begs the question — are the 49ers setting up to take a quarterback in the NFL Draft?
Kyle Posey and I debate that very topic on the latest episode of The Shanaplan as we try to decipher what these offseason moves mean for the 49ers’ future.
We also talk about Dee Ford’s contract restructure, what that means for the salary cap in 2020 and what type of impact (if any) Ford can have this upcoming season.
Kyle and I also walk through some other areas of need and players the 49ers can target in free agency.

We also discuss Trent Williams’ comments to the media on Tuesday about Kyle Shanahan and what insight that gives us into the 49ers’ team building.
