The San Francisco 49ers have doubled down on offensive lineman in this draft, and now they’ve done the same with cornerback. With the No. 172nd overall selection, the Niners have drafted Demmondore Lenoir.

Lenoir was the No. 1 ranked “athlete” recruit in the country out of high school. He initially opted out last year but decided to play when Pac 12 decided to play in the fall. He was a boundary cornerback at Oregon. Here’s a look at his testing numbers:

Here is Sports Info Solutions scouting report on Lenoir:

Lenoir’s football intelligence and toughness for his size are commendable traits, as well as his starting experience at a top program, but his lack of twitchy athleticism may keep him as a reserve.

Strengths: Press-man; Football intelligence; Staying in phase on deep routes.

Weaknesses: Transition to mirror deep breaks; Closing speed; Reactive athleticism.

The two cornerbacks selected by the 49ers are picks you hope develop down the line while contributing on special teams right away.

Perhaps the best news with Lenoir is that he never missed a game during his career at Oregon.
