Per Damond Talbot of Draft Diamonds, the San Francisco 49ers are working out safety Blake Countess. Since Countess has accrued seasons in the NFL, he wouldn’t be eligible to participate in the Niners rookie minicamp that starts Friday.

Later this month and nine dates in June, Countess could suit up with the 49ers. Here’s a look at some important upcoming dates for the team:

Organized team activities: May 24-25, May 27, June 1-2, June 4, June 7-8, June 10.

Mandatory full-squad minicamp: June 15-17.

The Rams drafted countess in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He started two games as a rookie while appearing in five games. Countess started one game in each of the next two seasons, though he did appear in every game.

On May 2, 2019, the Rams waived Countess. He was signed by the Eagles that summer, where he spent the preseason. Philadelphia released Countess after he suffered a hamstring injury in its preseason opener in August of 2019.

Countess was with the Eagles for three months before joining the Jets and going back to Philly. The fifth-year pro logged 54 tackles, three pass defenses, two interceptions, and one sack in 37 games for the Los Angeles Rams from 2016-18.

He was set to make $990,000 in 2021.
