On Monday, San Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt showed a picture of his locker room where a new number was displayed. Tartt will wear No. 26 now after wearing No. 29 since he was drafted in 2015.
Tartt isn’t the only member of the Niners’ secondary who plans to change his jersey number this offseason. Cornerback Jason Verrett worse No. 27 when he first joined San Francisco. Last year, he switched to No. 22. Now, Verrett plans on taking it back to his college days at TCU:
I found it funny that one of the comments came from Brandon Aiyuk, who also wore No. 2 in college, and all he responded with was an emoji rolling his eyes.
Aiyuk didn’t seem interested in wearing No. 2 last month:

No. 2 looks much better than both No. 11 and No. 22. I’d argue that No. 2 is aesthetically one of the best jersey numbers in all of sports.
That’s two changes in two days. Both came from members of the secondary. Who will be the next player to switch jerseys?
