Sunday Night Football thread: Patrick Mahomes versus Lamar Jackson

The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are on the road against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

Before we get to them, the Seahawks blew a 15-point lead. Seattle was fortunate that the game got to overtime as Russell Wilson was ruled down for “forward progress” despite running into the end zone. The Seahawk magic wasn’t enough today, as they lost to a Titans team that looked terrible against the Cardinals last week.

As for tonight, this will be the fourth head-to-head meeting between Mahomes and Jackson. Each game has been entertaining, but Mahomes has prevailed each time. Mahomes has thrown for over 370 yards in each matchup.

Jimmy Smith was supposed to be Baltimore’s “tight end” stopper this year. Instead, he is inactive once again. We saw how that worked out last week against Darren Waller and the Raiders.

The Ravens have a league-high 15 players on the injured reserve. Tonight, they get the best team in the NFL. Best of luck, Lamar.
