49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media Monday afternoon to provide a few injury updates. Defensive tackle Kevin Givens has a high-ankle sprain. He’ll likely go on the injured reserved list. Givens is scheduled to get an MRI on Monday.

The 49ers have a banged-up backfield and are bringing in Lamar Miller and Duke Johnson for visits. This was the status of each running back after Sunday’s game:

Trey Sermon (concussion)

Elijah Mitchell (shoulder)

JaMycal Hasty (ankle)

Mitchell is day-to-day. Hasty has a high-ankle sprain. Shanahan said Hasty and Givens will “be out for a while.” Additionally, Shanahan said the team is bringing in running back T.J. Yeldon for a workout.

Both Sermonn and Mitchell “have a chance” to play Sunday. Shanahan added that running back Kerryon Johnson, currently on the practice squad, has a chance to be called up this week.

Javon Kinlaw has a knee injury and the team will monitor him this week. It’s the same story as lask week, nothing new. Here’s Shanahan on Kinlaw:

“It’s the same situation that he’s had... I know he was pretty positive with it and he didn’t see anything get worse, that I feel that’s a good sign. Not a bad sign, but Kinlaw’s not out of the woods at all.”

Cornerback Josh Norman has an ankle injury and is day-to-day. Shanahan’s hoping to get Emmanuel Moseley back Sunday against the Packers.

Arik Armstead has an adductor injury which is the same as last week. He went through the same injury last week and will likely be monitored throughout the week.
