49ers and Levi’s Stadium Showcase New Local Fare

Ahhh, it’s that time of the year again. Well, two weeks about in, but you know what time it is. It’s time for the season home opener for the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. So on Friday, I was invited to a concessions showcase hosted by the 49ers and Levi’s Stadium ahead of Sunday’s regular-season home opener against the Green Bay Packers.

Executive Chef Jon Serverson displayed the new spread as it was decorated with the beautiful 75^th logo that commemorates the 75^th Anniversary season. The event also helped welcome new and returning Bay Area restaurant partners whose specialty items help bring local fare to the stadium and its visitors near and far.

Being a local kid, it was very welcoming to hear and see that local restaurants are a vital part of the variety of offerings that Levi’s Stadium is offering. Chef Jon Severson told me that this was important to him because the past couple of years during the pandemic, these local businesses went through so much that we’re all in this together.

“It adds to the layer of variety, these restaurants have been doing this in the Bay Area, they are bringing their staff, which is really helpful for us, they are bringing their consistency and their quality, and in a season environment, it’s huge.”

In seeing the posts earlier this season about the food at SoFi Stadium, it’s actually quite nice knowing that Chef Jon Severson holds his stadium fare to a higher standard.
