There are nine games on the early slate today. Washington’s Football team is on the road against Josh Allen and the Bills. Taylor Heinicke will start. For rooting interests, always go for the AFC team in this scenario since we’re so early in the season. You want these NFC teams to rack up as many losses as possible.
Justin Fields will start his first career game on the road against a Browns pass rush that’s fierce. Fields played so well during his first appearance. I think Chicago keeps it close, but the Browns will be tough to slow down. Odell Beckham Jr. makes his season debut.
The Ravens are on the road against the Lions. We’ve watched Jared Goff two weeks in a row. For your mental health, watch another game this morning.
The 2-0 Cardinals are on the road against the winless, lifeless Jaguars. There will be plenty of points, and I like the Jags to cover here since Arizona can’t cover anyone reading this. Kyler is special, but he’s put the ball in harm's way two games in a row.
The Chargers were supposed to be a high-flying offense under new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, but he’s acting like Drew Brees is under center. The Chiefs haven’t won a game by more than one possession since Week 8 of last year. I wouldn’t want to face Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid at home following a loss.
Jameis Winston and the Saints face Mac Jones and the Patriots in a battle of 1-1 teams. That should be a boring game on paper which means it’ll be exciting with plenty of points.
The Falcons and the Giants look like two of the worst teams in the NFL. Each team is looking to get its first win of the season.
The Bengals have looked surprisingly competitive, while Big Ben has been the opposite. I’m not sure what to make of this game.
The Titans face Carson Wentz and both of his injured ankles. Don’t watch the AFC South this year unless you have to.
